Haptic for students with emotional/sensory/disregulation
Students can wear haptic vests and give themselves haptic feedback in the form of squeezing, massage, movement, etc. This is similar to what autistic author Temple Grandin called her “squeeze box”. Students can squeeze themselves when feeling overwhelmed. This can even be done without having attention drawn to themselves or leaving the room. Here is a good article on the subject.
Haptics in mathematics
Haptics has been used in mathematics to teach geometry. It is a good way to teach more complicated geometric shapes and mathematical concepts. Here is an excellent article on the subject.
